2019 NAMRC Nominations
The National Association of Multicultural Rehabilitation Concerns is seeking nominations for:

Nominations will open on Monday August 13 and close on Friday, September 21, 2018. Elections will begin on October 1, 2018 and end on Friday, October 12, 2018.

Chair of the Department of Rehabilitation and Health Services (RHS)
Position Description: This position is for the Chair of the Department of Rehabilitation and Health Services (RHS). The Chair will provide leadership for a large, interdisciplinary academic department, including nationally and highly ranked degree programs. RHS offers a Ph.D. in Health Services Research, two Master’s degrees (Rehabilitation Counseling and Health Services Administration), two Bachelor’s degrees (Public Health and Rehabilitation Studies), and several minors and certificates. The Department also operates several clinics and community programs. In addition to being an innovative, student-centered leader, the ideal candidate will need a proven track record in supporting and mentoring interdisciplinary research initiatives and facilitating community-focused programming.
The University of North Texas (UNT) is a Tier One student-focused public research university, and the flagship of the UNT system, with approximately 38,000 students. UNT is located in Denton, a community of over 130,000 people within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, a thriving metropolitan area offering entertainment, culture, shopping, and professional sports.

Minimum Qualifications: A doctoral degree in Health Services Research, Rehabilitation Counseling, Public Health, Economics, Sociology, or a related area is required along with a demonstrated and continuing record of research excellence (including obtaining external funding) and teaching excellence, as well as a strong background in academic administration or program management.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who have a record that meets the Department’s requirements for a Full Professor with tenure. Experience with program accreditation, as well as entrepreneurial program development, is also a plus.

NAMRC is happy to announce that our 26th Annual Conference will take place in the city of Atlanta, Georgia!
Our theme this year is: Reimagining the Future: Moving Beyond Talk To Action
The conference will take place from July 17th to 20th, 2019 with pre-conference workshops on the 17th and 18th and conference starting on the 18th to the 20th.
